Lauren Sutherland

Bethany Brewer is a professional mezzo-soprano and educator. She has obtained her B.M. and M.M. in vocal performance from the Wheaton College Conservatory and University of Colorado Boulder, respectively, and has established a varied and successful career in Chicago as both a performer and a teacher. Through her own private teaching and work as a Teaching Artist in area high schools, she has observed a lack of resources for students interested in pursuing music at a collegiate level. Through CVCP, she wishes to provide a trusted resource for students in Chicagoland to pursue their music goals!

Lauren is a professional coloratura soprano and educator. Lauren holds a B.M. from Wheaton College as well as a Master’s and Doctoral degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in vocal performance. She fell in love with mentoring students while teaching college students at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Her experience as an Admissions Counselor for the prestigious School of Music, Theatre and Dance at the University of Michigan combined with her own personal journey make her an excellent resource for navigating the performing arts admissions process. Lauren believes in empowering every student to become the best musician they can be!
