
B i o g r a p h y
Bethany Brewer is a native of the Chicagoland area. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with her BM in Vocal Performance from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music in 2017, she made her way to Denver, Colorado to pursue her MM in Vocal Performance at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she studied with Abigail Nims. She graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in December of 2020 and returned to Chicagoland in 2021. Since the move to Chicago, Bethany has sung with Music of the Baroque, Consonance, St. Charles Singers, and Cor Cantiamo. She has also performed with Fox Valley Opera, Great Lakes Operetta, Chicago Summer Opera, and Miami Music Festival. She continues to enjoy exploring the vast musical opportunities available in the greater Chicagoland area!
In addition to performing, Bethany teaches voice and piano lessons privately and is invigorated by the work she does as a Teaching Artist through Music of the Baroque's education program, Strong Voices. She feels passionately about making music accessible to audiences and students of all ages, interests, and backgrounds.
Bethany currently resides in Palos Heights, Illinois with her husband Henry and their dogs Shenzi and Zelda. Outside of music, Bethany enjoys any and all outdoor activities: hiking, biking, running, climbing, snowshoeing, and skiing.
